TRAINER BIO: JULIO RODRIGUEZ
Julio has grown up in the great state of Texas, graduating high school from Prosper, where he played football, track and golf. After high school, he earned his Associate of Science degree from Collin College and his Bachelors of Science in Biology degree from The University of Texas-Dallas in their Pre-Health program. He received his Personal Training Education from The Cooper Institute in Dallas and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare management.
Julio went straight to work after college at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, one of the best Medical Schools in the country. He has worked with their medical education program using his bilingual abilities to help train future Doctors and Physician Assistants. He has also studied Mixed Martial Arts for years, which includes disciplines in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing.
Julio now works with many local non-profit organizations, helping the surrounding communities. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for El Puente de Celina, which is an organization which brings Celina’s yearly Cinco de Mayo Festival. Julio also happens to be the Festival Chair for this event. This is a yearly fundraiser that raises money to provide scholarships to high school graduates who otherwise would have a difficult time attending college. He has also Directed and Managed a non-profit clinic, North Texas Cares, providing healthcare for the uninsured children and adults that live in our communities. He has also helped pass a new Texas holiday, which lands on April 25th named “Texas Charitable Clinic Day”.
He currently runs TheBoldFitness.com, which is his own online training business in which he has many success stories of helping change people’s lives. He now teaches Group X Classes at The Cell and plans on competing in future NPC competitions. Julio has a drive for health, fitness and helping others, which has helped him become a natural leader in his community.
